THE OPPORTUNITY

From policy to practical learning.

The East African Community announced regional AI and education initiatives in October 2026, including an AI foundation module and a regional TVET qualifications framework. CyberPass proposes complementary, accessible training that can help learners build foundational skills while national and regional implementation evolves.

Our commitment: Help ensure young people, teachers, businesses and communities have opportunities to learn and practise useful digital skills, including where access to conventional training is limited.

IMPLEMENTATION ROADMAP

Start online. Grow locally.

PHASE 01 · INITIAL

Online learning

Mobile-friendly introductory modules, browser-based exercises and low-bandwidth materials.

PHASE 02 · PILOT

Institutional partnerships

Collaborate with schools, universities, TVET providers, employers and community groups.

PHASE 03 · EXPANSION

Physical workshops

Explore instructor-led classes and regional learning hubs when funding and capacity permit.

PHASE 04 · LONG TERM

Innovation infrastructure

Investigate locally relevant hosting, connectivity and data-centre investments subject to feasibility.

The phases are proposals, not funded commitments or fixed delivery dates.

LONG-TERM INFRASTRUCTURE CONCEPT

An Upper Nile digital future.

CyberPass proposes exploring digital learning hubs and, eventually, resilient regional computing and hosting infrastructure in Upper Nile and other underserved areas.

River corridors may offer logistical opportunities, but proximity to water does not automatically make a site suitable for a data centre. Any location would require independent flood and climate-risk studies, dependable electricity, fibre or backhaul connectivity, physical security, cooling and water-use assessment, environmental approvals and financial feasibility.
